Wolters Kluwer
Wolters Kluwer has been a strategic partner of the Foundation since 2018
As a global leader in the field of information services, including in the healthcare sector, Wolters Kluwer has supported the research hospital in Utrecht for many years. The partnership therefore fits well with Wolters Kluwer's mission to deliver profound impact when it matters most, by protecting the health and prosperity of people worldwide and contributing to a safe and just society.
The support of partners is essential to accelerating the achievement of the Máxima's mission. The partnership between Wolters Kluwer and the Foundation contributes to the Maxima's mission: to cure every child with cancer, with optimal quality of life. Children in the Netherlands and worldwide.
About 600 children a year are diagnosed with cancer in the Netherlands, about 25,000 in Europe and about 400,000 worldwide. Wolters Kluwer employees take part in sporting events every year to raise donations for children with cancer. In addition, Wolters Kluwer contributes to the cooperation between the Máxima and a hospital in Malawi for the purpose of knowledge transfer and improving (access to) care there. Wolters Kluwer also supports the development of talents within pediatric oncology, such as Rick Admiraal, a physician in training who is specializing in pediatric oncology.
