Tour de Bouw: fundraising partner of the Foundation

Builders Take to Their Bikes for Children with Cancer

This year, Tour de Bouw is organizing its ninth edition. What makes Tour de Bouw so special is that it is much more than a cycling event. It is an annual initiative of the regional construction network Bouwklik, bringing together cyclists, construction companies, and organizations under the motto ‘Stronger Together in the Region’. By cycling past various construction sites, participants raise funds for the Princess Máxima Center.

To mark their long-standing collaboration, Tour de Bouw is now officially a Fundraising Partner of the Foundation.

Martijn Houwaard, founder of Tour de Bouw, says: ‘Deeply moved by the story of Juul and her family — who, despite losing Juul at the age of eight, continue to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to a better future for children with cancer and their families — Tour de Bouw is equally committed to supporting these children. We are proud that, together with our partners, we have been able to support the Máxima for so many years in its mission: to cure every child with cancer, with optimal quality of life.’
