President of Lions Clubs International Foundation Visits the Máxima

Since its opening in 2018, Lions, the international service organization, has maintained a close and warm relationship with the Princess Máxima Center. Over the years, numerous fundraising initiatives have been organized by Lions clubs across the Netherlands.

The Máxima even served as the national charity of Lions Netherlands for two years. The Lions Clubs International Foundation also made a significant financial contribution. Thanks to this support, all parent-child rooms were fully renovated, among other improvements. Lions’ involvement with the Máxima is no coincidence: worldwide, the organization is actively committed to fighting childhood cancer.

On April 12, we welcomed a special delegation from Lions, including Dr. Patti Hill, President of the Lions Clubs International Foundation. During the visit, the Máxima became the first organization in Europe to receive a special shield, a meaningful recognition of our work. To our great delight, Lions also announced that it will once again raise funds for our center.
