Companies get active during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

September was Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. We called on people across the Netherlands to take action for the Máxima and help raise awareness for better treatments for childhood cancer. Our partners and business relationships responded in great numbers. A brief look back at the many initiatives.
Energy, Creativity and Connection
We are proud and deeply grateful for all the fundraising initiatives and campaigns organized by our partners and business relations in September. Employees from many companies came together and took action on a large scale. Teams from Google and Van Gennip Verpakking participated in sporting challenges with their colleagues. Alpina Group joined in during its annual golf tournament. Squla invited its members to donate coins to the Máxima. Rally de Soleil organized a car rally that drove past the Máxima especially for our children. Earlier this year, the initiative 24h-Chefs hosted a remarkable culinary event, where 24 top chefs cooked for 500 guests within 24 hours. During the summer, Tour de Bouw and Equinix covered many challenging miles on their bikes to raise funds for the Máxima.
Raising Awareness for Children with Cancer
Our social media campaign was widely shared by our partners. Jaarbeurs created a beautiful video featuring its employees. Our new partners Amazon and Intersport, as well as Intertoys and Beter Bed, organized in-store campaigns. Thanks to our partner Ocean Outdoor, the campaign was visible on digital billboards across the Netherlands. Together, we created meaningful awareness for children with cancer.
We look back on a month filled with energy, creativity, connection, and powerful support for the Máxima. Our sincere thanks to all companies involved. Together, we make a difference in the lives of children with cancer.
